Hello,
As many people around the globe, I fell for Google Buzz out of curiosity and found myself following someone I *really* didn’t want to follow, causing them in chain to react as to why I am spying on them.
Feeling myself upset by this unwanted intrusion into my privacy, I started searching for resources on how to disable Buzz. Since Google provided no official answer, I requested for help on Google Help forums. I followed instructions of an helpful guy named gravi_t and also followed instructions here.
Until Google officially releases something (tool, wizard, step-by-step whatever) to cover up their massive fail, this seems like the only way to go. Honestly, most people will agree that the way Google set this up is quite unprofessional. Some will argue that it’s a free service, I will reply to these that I do not mind paying for a Gmail account provided that *I* am in control of *my* privacy, not Google. Thankfully I can always fallback on my own hosted mail server, but I am lazy sometimes and the Gmail interface is sleek and until not long ago was quite faithful.
I will keep you updated if anything new shows up.
Cheers, TGIF after all and have a nice weekend!
Max
